Antique Victorian Floral Theorem Painting on Velvet, Circa Late 19th Century. A bouquet of painted roses, tulips, lilies, pansies, and ferns seemingly bursts from the flat surface, accentuated by the application of a cool grey background. Rendered in tones of lush green, sunshine yellow, bubblegum and saffron on a camel wool velvet base. Housed in its original walnut frame with gold liner. Unsigned.
Presented at the Nameless Art + Design Show January 2026
Condition: Excellent antique condition with minimal wear. The paint remains vibrant, with no flaws to note. Light areas of discoloration to camel wool base. Small areas of abrasion to wood frame as photographed.
