Antique Folk Art Crokinole Game Board, Circa Early 20th Century

$798.00

Antique Folk Art Crokinole Game Board, Circa Early 20th Century. Antique handmade Crokinole game board constructed from wood panels finished in honey brown and dark chocolate. The octagonal form with raised lip houses a central circular playing surface with incised lines as point demarcation and an inner circle of eight carved pegs. The game is played between two people sitting around the board, flicking small discs towards the central hole. The board is divided into three sections, with each section worth 5, 10 or 15 points, and the center hole worth 20 points. The central circular portion of the board displays a beautiful finish with natural craquelure. The reverse of the board has notations and signatures in a few areas, with one likely pointing to the board having been made in Central Bedeque, Prince Edward Island.

Condition: Excellent antique condition, wear commensurate with age and use. Areas of seam separation, finish loss and light abrasion as detailed in images.

Specs: 28 3/4" W | 28 3/4" H | 1 3/4" D TO HARDWARE
