Vintage Mixed Media Abstract Collage Art in Shadowbox, Circa 1990s. Constructed from a repurposed teak display cabinet, the artist applied paint and collaged material within the central recess backboard, creating a shadowbox effect. An abstract collage is rendered in tones of butter yellow, cream, green, black, tan and navy. Top applied printed paper, portions of photographs, woven paper cord, plastic tile spacers and wood strips add dimension and texture. An imposing eye, the word “DOLL” and more industrial elements are printed in black on white paper. Brass brackets on the reverse allow for wall mounting. Signed lower right in black, artist unknown.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minimal wear. Areas of light abrasion and paint transfer along the frame, likely from original production of the work (as pictured).
