Vintage Art Deco Style Kneeling Male Nude Oil on Board Painting, Circa Mid 20th Century. This work centers a muscular, male figure fully nude in a contemplative moment, kneeling on the ground, head bowed with arms behind his back, as if repentant. The artist’s brush strokes lend a sense of tranquility, blending the sky with the sun behind the figure. Rendered in oil on board and housed within a minimal grooved wood frame. Some of the initial pencil grid-work planning can be seen through the painted surface. Signed “C. Poulin” in the lower right corner.
