Antique Yellow + Cream Octagram String Art Photo Frame, Circa Early 20th Century. This intricate folk art frame is constructed from threads in yellow and cream, bound over a wood base. A stripe pattern is created as the threads weave around the body of the piece. The center is left an open octagon where a sheet of glass covers a black & white portrait of a handsome gentleman in a suit & tie. The reverse backing is constructed from a page from a farmer’s almanac. Unsigned.
Condition: Great antique condition with minimal wear. Light areas of color variation along the string body. The central glass panel does present one crack, but does not detract from the overall look.
