Vintage Teal + Soft Yellow Cotton Drunkard's Path Circle Quilt, Circa 1930s-40s. A fantastic, graphic design employing the drunkard’s path pattern. This iteration cleverly uses teal, soft yellow and cream cotton where circles intersect squares, alternating in color to create this op-art work. The maker improvised in areas where the a lighter cream fabric was substituted for the yellow fabric. The quilt is all hand-sewn with a double border. Backed in a light bluish-gray cotton. Unsigned.
Condition: Good vintage condition, well-used in life, this quilt presents small areas of loss, wear and tears largely concentrated to the backside as shown. Repairs were made in-house to stabilize areas on the backside of the quilt (as pictured).
