Vintage Handmade Magician's Vanishing Card Trick, Circa Mid 20th Century

$298.00

Vintage Handmade Magician's Vanishing Card Trick, Circa Mid 20th Century. Constructed from thin layers of dark finished plywood, this folk gimmick features a large-scale king of spades playing card cleverly spliced allowing it to become hidden when the contraption is flipped. We can assume the central hole was once attached to a ring or rod for manipulating while holding in the hand. A little handmade gem of magic history. Unsigned.

Presented at the Nameless Art + Design Show January 2026

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minimal wear. Light areas of surface abrasion as detailed in images. The interior paper card has slightly bowed over time.

Specs: 8" H | 5 1/2" W | 5/8" D
