Vintage Gilt Gesso Framed Arboreal Mountainscape Painting, Circa 1940s-50s. Acrylic on board, the scene pulls the viewer into a verdant valley landscape with mountains in the distance. A small gate and rock walls are shaded by a grouping of trees. Rendered in shades of lime, forest green, tan, teal and sky blue. Housed in an earlier gilt gesso frame (19th century). Unsigned.
Condition: Great vintage condition with minimal wear. Some areas of color transfer to sky, as shown in images. Light wear and one small loss to gilt gesso frame, mainly concentrated to the lower right, as shown.
