Vintage Framed "Late Spring" Serigraph by Shigeo Okumura, Circa 1980s. This work centers city dwellers within a verdant setting, basking in the spring season. The recreational park scene includes people walking, reading, resting and couples rowing along the pond flanked by ducks, waterlilies and grasses. Everyone is at ease, relaxing within the beatific scenery. The artist deceptively renders the composition in a simplified manner, employing bold colors for emphasis. Signed “OKU,” numbered 115/190 and titled at the base of the artwork. Professionally matted and framed.
Shigeo Okumura (1937-1993) was a contemporary Japanese artist who created bold, two-dimensional works from his New York studio.
Condition: Artwork is in great condition, light surface scratches present with light discoloration and wear to the mat (as pictured).
