Antique Victorian Coquillage Wreath, Circa Late 19th Century. A stunning arrangement of gathered seashells affixed to a wood base using a cement-compound. The artisan cleverly displayed the shells in rosettes and flower-like motifs mimicking a floral wreath. This piece works well as a standalone piece or layered over a circular mirror or artwork on a wall. Unsigned.
Condition: Good antique condition, wear commensurate with age and use, presents losses to the shell surface throughout with a slight warp to the wood frame (as pictured)
