Antique Brass Panel Box with Chased + Repoussé Detailing, Circa Late 19th Century. A commanding box constructed from wood with ornate brass sheets affixed to the surface making use of varied styles of studs and nail heads. The full exterior, sans the underside, is covered in exquisite hammered details with central radial and geometric designs. Lined in a deep blue velvet and complete with a working lock (paired with a functioning antique key). Likely of European origin. Unbranded / Unsigned.
Condition: Excellent antique condition. The exterior displays a beautiful naturally patinated surface. No losses to the exterior. The interior shows some signs of wear, with a couple small holes within the lining and rubbing throughout as detailed in images.
