Antique Tin Toleware Storage Box with Domed Lid, Circa Early 19th Century. Minimal in design, this box was likely intended for tea storage, with two interior compartments. It retains that majority of its original black paint and interior lock mechanism (now separated from the box’s frame). Unsigned.
Condition: Great antique condition. Painted surface finish variation throughout commensurate with age and use (as detailed in images). A couple small areas of seam solder separation along the lid (barely noticeable). The interior locking mechanism is now separated from the body, does not detract from the function.
