Antique Folk Art Letter Box With Applied Brass Nail Motifs, Circa 1912. This stately chest to house letters is constructed from walnut, incorporating all-over brass nailhead motifs. The top of the box is dated July 1912. The front of box inscribed with Danish script that reads, ‘gemt er ikke glemt' ('what is kept away is not forgotten') along with'breve' ('letters'). Perfect to store of your precious pieces. Unsigned, artist unknown.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minimal surface wear and light finish variation. A couple small areas of abrasion and finish loss as detailed in images. The original lock is no longer in place.
