Vintage Folk Art Polychrome Federal Shield Wall Shelf, Dated 1938. Constructed from two wood panels, a shield backplate and half-circle shelf. Thirteen (13) white-painted stars were carved into the top of the shield with a navy painted background. The lower portion was crafted with five (5) red and white alternating painted stripes. Age and exposure to varied temps has produced a pleasing craquelure within the painted surface. Signed on the reverse and dated 1938.

Condition: Great vintage condition with minimal surface wear. A few areas of paint loss and abrasion as detailed in images.
