Vintage Folk Art "No Down Payment" Sign, Circa Mid-20th Century. Large-scale graphic retail trade sign advertising “NO! DOWN PAYMENT,” to entice potential customers. The white painted ground of the laminated wood is punctuated, quite literally, with bold hand-lettered words in black, outlined in mauve with horizontal red strokes separating each word. A small hole is visible at the top of the sign for hanging. Unsigned.
Condition: Great vintage condition, some wear and loss to the surface and paint, mostly concentrated towards the lower portion of the sign, commensurate with age and use (as pictured)
