Antique Folk Art Wood Pond Sail Boat, Circa 1920s

Antique Folk Art Wood Pond Sail Boat, Circa 1920s
Antique Folk Art Wood Pond Sail Boat, Circa 1920s. Constructed from wood with carved and painted details. The hull of the boat retains its original cream paint on the exterior, with finished wood interior. Detailing throughout includes a hand-carved rudder with red accents, three cleat hooks and small brass eye hooks. Some details seem to have been replaced over time, and the cotton sail (although original) has been re-attached to the mast and boom. A copper sheet fin keel is able to extend from the base and pivot to be stored within the body of the boat. Unsigned. Best for display as sculpture.
Condition: Great antique condition. Wear commensurate with age and use as detailed in images. Areas of paint and finish variation present. Some details seems to have been replaced or restored through time (rudder, mast base support, and details along the sides of the bow). Sail is original but has been re-attached to the mast and boom. The copper keel extends from the body, but hangs from one point (it’s unclear if this was intentional by design).
Specs: 18 1/2" L | 6 3/4" D | 18 3/8" H (TOP OF MAST - NOT INCLUDING COPPER KEEL HARDWARE)
