Antique Chocolate Velvet Box with Brass Stud Detailing, Circa Mid-Late 19th Century. Rectangular wood base construction wrapped in a chocolate velvet with three rows of applied brass dome studs of varied sizes along each edge. The original brass hinges and lock are intact, but missing its key (can be replaced). Fully intact red silk lined interior. Likely of French origins. Unsigned.
Condition: Great antique condition commensurate with age and use. Small areas of wear and abrasion across the velvet surface as shown (does not detract from the visual appeal). A few brass studs are missing, as detailed in images.
