Vintage Portuguese Green Majolica Cabbage Leaf Wall Pocket, Circa 1940s. Wonderfully hand-crafted ceramic wall pocket in the style of graduated cabbage/lettuce leaves. The life-like, trompe l’oeil rendering of verdant vegetation makes for the perfect accent to a wall. Fully glazed on the exterior and interior. Produced with a singular hole on the backside for wall mounting. Stamped, “MADE IN PORTUGAL” on the verso with a partial retailer/importer label present noting the brand being based in New York.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition, minor chipping present along the wall mount hole on the back, not visible from exterior, does not detract from the overall look.
