Vintage Large Scale John James Audubon "The Birds of America" Lithographic Flamingo Poster, Circa 1985. From the National Gallery of Art, Washington October 14, 1984 - April 14th 1985. Originally engraved and printed in 1838 by Rob Havell and “Drawn from nature by J.J. Audubon.” The work features a large scale, full-color detailed illustration of a flamingo surrounded by sketches of body details. Smaller flamingos can be seen in the background of the work. Produced by the 1984 Board of Trustees , National Gallery of Art, Washington. The work is grounded in a warm gray and framed in a black painted wood frame.
Condition: Great vintage condition. A couple small areas of creasing towards the edges of the poster and very slight color variation at base of poster (as shown in photos).
