Vintage Sand-Cast Bronze Paolo Soleri Wind Bell with Exaggerated Chain, Circa 1970s

Vintage Sand-Cast Bronze Paolo Soleri Wind Bell with Exaggerated Chain, Circa 1970s

$798.00

Vintage Sand-Cast Bronze Paolo Soleri Wind Bell with Exaggerated Chain, Circa 1970s. This particular form is quite rare due to its elongated articulated chain. It is designed around a conical form with surface ridge details. Brutalist in style, the patinated surface is textured to perfection in shades of rust and green. A six-link chain attaches to the top of the piece. The bell retains its original fin and is signed in the mold. Each original bell produced by Soleri is unique with no two bells being exactly the same.

Paolo Soleri was an Italian architect. He established the educational Cosanti Foundation and Arcosanti, an "urban laboratory" (so-dubbed by Ada Louise Huxtable, who at the time was the architectural critic of The NY Times) which became internationally renowned in Arizona.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with naturally patinated surface
