Vintage Folk Art Polychrome Twig Table With Split Dowel Trim, Circa 1937. Assembled utilizing the cut top of a tree, the form employs branches as the legs, affixed to an octagonal surface punctuated with split dowels. The spindly, zoomorphic body is hand-painted gray, accented with a muted palette of maroon and gray-green. Dated 1937 on the underside. Artist unknown.

Presented as part of our “Nameless Art + Design” Show collection, January 2025.

Condition: Great vintage condition with minimal surface wear. Small areas of abrasion, finish variation and one missing split dowel as detailed in images. Does not detract from the overall look. The top surface has a slight slant, as originally produced.
