Antique Victorian White Painted Two-Tier Stick + Ball Accent Table with Splayed Legs, Circa Late 19th Century. Two-tiered occasional table with wood dowel construction and wicker woven throughout the body doubling as support and detail. The two basket levels are lined in stick-and-ball fretwork, bound together with wicker. The top shelf’s corners are punctuated with large orb finials. Nestled in each corner beneath the top level are tightly wound wicker spirals, adding depth and interest to the piece. The four splayed dowel legs terminate in brass capped feet. Multiple layers of paint have been added through its life with its current white-painted surface. Maker unknown.
Condition: Great antique condition, surface wear and variation commensurate with age and use (as pictured). One spiral was replaced with a replica earlier in life (as shown in images). Entire body was painted over time, including brass feet which can be restored if desired.
