Antique Folk Art Handmade "Four-Point Star" Quilt with Celestial + Nautical Motifs, Circa Early 20th Century. This striking piece serves as a wonderful exhibition of early 20th century cotton fabrics; employing novelty prints of celestial bodies such as crescent moons and starbursts, nautical themes, plaids, ginghams, calicos, stripes, dots and even tennis rackets. The classic four-point star patchwork layout consists of tessellated triangles framed within red printed triangles along the border. Unsigned.
Condition: Good antique condition, signs of wear and distress throughout commensurate with age and use. Some pieces are threadbare and worn due to the fragility of the fabrics as detailed in images.
