Antique Tripod Wood Milking Stool, Circa Mid-19th Century. A perfectly patinated tripod milking stool with gorgeous raised surface grain. The chunky half circle top is beautifully offset by three dainty wood dowel legs positioned on an angle. On the underside of the seat are scribbled messages, mainly illegible, but one left very clear that reads “Bobby hates you.” One can only wonder whether a child may have scrawled these words in frustration while doing chores on the farm.

Condition: Excellent antique condition. Gorgeous original surface patina and natural wear. Retains 3 original brass machine screws. Very slight slant to stool.

Specs: 11 3/4” Height, 9 3/4” Surface width, 8” surface Depth. 12 1/4” Base width (leg to leg), 10” base depth (leg to leg).
