Vintage Watercolor Apples "for Miriam" Signed Ray Porter, Circa 1950s

Vintage Watercolor Apples "for Miriam" Signed Ray Porter, Circa 1950s
Vintage Watercolor Apples "for Miriam" Signed Ray Porter, Circa 1950s. Charming illustration created in dedication to someone dear to the artist. The watercolor work presents seven apples suspended along the ground, each offering a different perspective. One is left to wonder the significance of the fruit to their relationship with “Miriam,” and the artist’s choice to render one in grayscale. Dedicated and signed in the lower left, “For Miriam - Ray Porter.” Housed in a minimal gilt wood frame.
Presented as part of our “Nameless Art + Design” Show collection, January 2025.
Condition: Great vintage condition with minimal surface wear. Areas of paper foxing, light abrasion to the gilt wood frame and one small tear in the grey matboard (barely noticeable) as detailed in images.
