Vintage Oil On Panel Oranges Still Life, Circa 1927. A display of oranges, some still partially wrapped in paper, sit atop a dark, reflective table surface. This work references an earlier painting by William J McCloskey circa 1889. A notation on the verso reads “Uncle Zeki’s Aunt painted. The Breedings owned the hotel in Stroud-” Signed H Breeding 27.’
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minimal wear. Light areas of rubbing and paint loss along the left and right margins of the board, from contact with the frame (detailed in images).
