Beneath the group appears to be tables along a window. The quintet is seen with an assortment of instruments including trumpet, banjo, trombone, clarinet and cello. The artist works within a finite color palate exploring blues and greens, cleverly employing selections of the ground to create highlights against the otherwise, bluesy backdrop. Abstract shapes and checkerboard patterns fill the space. Lithograph is numbered in the lower right “8/50” and signed “James Carupo” in the lower right hand side of the piece. In original frame and matting.
