Vintage Large-Scale Nude Study Frontal View, Circa 1940s. This large scale acrylic work is largely rendered in pastel hues. Likely the work of an art student with true talent, a central nude figure stands posed looking into the distance. The commanding form fills the majority of the canvas. Special attention has been paid to the details of the body, with facial features and the hand left more unfinished. Signed "DON G" on the reverse of the wood stretcher.
CONDITION: Great vintage condition. Areas of surface scratching, paint flecking and a couple small pin holes within the canvas. A tear can be seen at the lower fold of the canvas, revealing the stretcher. These flaws (as photographed) do not detract from the stability or presence of this work and help to add texture and interest.
