Rendered in gauche on artist’s board, the bust is punctuated with a deep, black ground. Likely a student work, appears to be graded and marked “80” in the lower right corner. Signed and dated on the verso “Janet Sternberger - 52.”
Janet Sternberger went on to become a commercial artist for the “Philadelphia Inquirer” and “Instructo.”
