Vintage Hand-Woven Yanomami Tribal Woven Basket, Circa Mid 20th Century. This shallow gathering basket, called a "xoto,” was handcrafted by a member of the Yanomami of South America, who live on the border between Southern Venezuela and Northern Brazil. Woven using palm fibers and decorated with black painted undulating details that may represent the rivers.
CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. No flaws to note.
