Rare vintage automatronic wind-up singing bird cage crafted by Karl Griesbaum in Germany. Automation makes the caged bird sing, flutter its tail and move its beak and head about. The cage is constructed of brass with a brown velvet flooring. Body of bird is covered in real feathers with glass eyes. The fabric foliage is styled after genko leaves with berries and a mushroom at the base of cage interior. Stamped “Ken D” “K G” and “Made in Germany” on base.
