Vintage Folk Art Eight-Point Star Cotton Quilt, Circa Mid 20th-Century. Vibrant and dynamic hand-sewn quilt employing the eight-point star pattern. The colorways are arranged in diagonal bands along the body of the quilt with artistic allowances throughout. Each star motif alternates between solid colors (red, yellow, blue, purple, orange, teal, pink) and floral printed fabrics, offset by a natural cotton ground, adding another graphic layer to the piece. Fully-hand sewn, the edge and back of the quilt are finished in a teal cotton. Unsigned.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition, presents areas of discoloration with yellowing of the natural cotton ground. Wear commensurate with age and use (as detailed in photos).
