Antique Leather-Bound Book Bookends Made in France, A Pair, Circa Mid-Late 19th Century. Constructed from genuine antique tan leather French books, “L’Ecole des Moeurs” and “Sermons De Neuville.” Each book is kept closed with nails driven into the body and a steel plate fixed within the pages as the base. Marbled paper details adorn each base. Stamped “Made in France” on each book. Unbranded.
Condition: Great antique condition. Wear and rubbing present to the surface of each book with small leather losses along the spine and corners as detailed in images.
