Vintage Gilt Acanthus Leaf Motif Framed Mirror by Syroco, Circa 1930s. Hollywood Regency in style, this piece is similar to works by Serge Roche. Desired for their intricate detailing and lightweight quality, Syroco frames were constructed from a mix of wood compound and casting fluid that's been poured into a mold. A brushed gold finish has been applied to the surface of this piece, adding depth and accenting the molded leaf detailing. A partial original paper label is visible on the top backside of the frame. Backed in a dark brown velvet, and complete with a hanging wire.
Condition: Great vintage condition. Light surface wear and a couple small areas of rubbing along raised edges (as detailed in images).
