Antique Framed Silk Embroidered Mat Panel with Mirror, Circa Early 20th Century. Natural linen base and top-applied silk embroidery with areas of metal bullion. The Art Nouveau embroidery depicts masterfully executed scrolling ombre leaf motifs. Silk thread colors range from soft moss green and ochre to salmon pink and deep rose. The motifs swirl around a central window, likely originally intended to house a photo, and now repurposed with a mirror. Unsigned.
Condition: Excellent antique condition. Light spotting to the fabric ground (as detailed in photos), the embroidery is excellent condition without flaws. Professionally framed in a minimal maple frame with mirror.
