Vintage Conical Fluted Crocodile Embossed Leather Lamp, Attributed to Paul Dupré-Lafon, Circa 1940s. Featuring a fluted conical plaster interior form wrapped in chestnut brown croc embossed leather. This lamp retains its original cylindrical leather wrapped finial as well. Attributed to Paul Dupré-Lafon. Unsigned.

Paul Dupré-Lafon was a French designer and architect renowned for his Art Deco furniture. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts de Marseille as a painter before dedicating himself to architecture and design. He is well known for melding cubist and mid-century aesthetics. His work for Hermès during the 1920s and 30s, lamps and other home accessories, are highly sought after.

CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. Minimal surface wear with only very small areas of wear to the leather surface. The finial shows light signs of wear and finish loss at the edges of the leather (as pictured).
