Rare Antique Sculptural Bentwood + Rattan Lamp, Circa Early 20th Century. The body of the lamp is largely constructed from bentwood dowels with an open framework. Each dowel is designed to appear continuous, with joins hidden by wrapped rattan detailing. The ribbed triangular platform base features soft corners with each dowel “rib” attached with the use of delicate nails. A central wrapped rattan column leads to stick & ball-style wood detailing at the neck. Unbranded, with only traces of an original paper label on the underside of the base. Recently rewired.
Shade Sold Separately.
Condition: Great antique condition. Minimal wear to the body of the lamp. Heavy finish variation present only on the base, that does not detract from the overall look.
