Vintage Mid-Century Geometric Parquetry Coffee Table, Circa 1967. A beautiful display of skill in parquetry, the tabletop is inlaid with various woods: walnut, locust, mahogany and dogwood. Mounted to brass capped tapered walnut legs. This one-of-a-kind table was crafted as a gift affectionately hand-made with painstaking precision.
Inscribed and signed with a personal note from the maker to the recipient on the underside of the table: “To Joe Fluharty in appreciation for a very efficient job in co-ordinating the various sub contractors in completion of our new club house & swimming pool. Also for all the headaches Uncle Paul put on your shoulders. P.S. - The finish is Alcohol proof so have many across *illegible. Table #14. Walnut Background, Stars are Locust on Mahogany Background, White Wood is Dogwood. Approx 2425 Pcs. Made By *illegible signature. March 1967.”
Condition: Excellent vintage condition, tabletop and legs shows light signs of wear commensurate with age and use (as pictured).
