Monumental in scale and formed from heavy weight clear textured cast glass, this piece is signed on the lower edge of the base “TAPIO WIRKKALA 3441”. A very rare work by the designer. Tapio Wirkkala was one of Finland’s leading contributors to the Scandinavian interpretation of modernism in the mid-20th century. Perfect for champagne, wine, or as a vase.
