Vintage Tablescape Still Life Acrylic on Canvas Painting, Circa 1950s. Rendered in a warm, rich palette of earthy tones juxtaposed with accents of cool tones from the lavender flower and blue matchbox. The table is adorned with a bulbous vase housing firework chrysanthemums in full bloom, flanked by a bottle of chianti and fruit. The artist added a knife, lighter and matches in the mix with bunches of grapes, pears and an apple. The lit cigarette in the lower frame is commanding with its slim plume of smoke traveling up the canvas, lending a sense of liveliness to the piece. Signed.
