Vintage Lithographic Poster of Tivoli Gardens, Denmark by Ib Andersen, Circa 1943. Created as an advertisement for Tivoli Gardens, one of the most famous amusement parks, located in Copenhagen, Denmark. Tivoli is the second oldest amusement park in the world and is one of the most visited locations in Scandinavia. Printed by Andreasen & Lachmann, København (labeled on the left side of the piece within the border). Signed within the lower right of the print “IB ANDERSEN 43-52”.
The artwork for this poster was created by the Danish cartoonist, graphical artist and architect Ib Andersen (1907 - 1969). Andersen is very well known for producing this poster along with a poster for DDL (The Danish Aviation Company).
Condition: Good vintage condition. Wear commensurate with age and use. Small tears and old repairs as shown in photos. The colors remain bright and vibrant.
