Vintage Large-Scale Rear Facing Nude Study on Canvas, Circa 1940s. This large scale acrylic work is largely rendered in pastel hues. Likely the work of an art student with true talent, a central nude figure stands posed atop a raised platform with one hand perched on the hip. Canvases on easels and another figure sit within the background. Signed "DON G" on the side of the canvas.
CONDITION: Great vintage condition. Areas of surface scratching, paint flecking and a couple small tears at the lower fold of the canvas. These minimal flaws (as pictured) do not detract from the stability or presence of this work. The stretcher used to support this work is not a perfect rectangle (as pictured) which adds to the interest.
