Vintage Green Mt Potatoes Hand Painted Two-Board Sign, Circa 1930s. Crackly green painted surface with white hand drawn verbiage boldly offering goods for sale, “GREEN MT. POTATOES” and “DUCK EGGS” on the verso. Likely from a farm stand where the purveyor repurposed the signage over time dependent upon what was available at the farm. The worn surface beautifully shows its age and endurance over time with earlier uses stating, “WOOD FOR SALE” as well as another good which is illegibly listed. Constructed from two planks of pine, braced with two vertical wood bars on the backside. Unsigned.
Condition: Great vintage condition, surface shows signs of wear and loss to painted surface commensurate with age, use and application (as pictured)
