Antique Framed Petit Silk Needlepoint Artwork, Circa Late 19th Century. This gorgeous miniature needlepoint artwork depicts a lush garden folly complete with a Romanesque structure and white benches. Despite the small scale, the artist was able render incredible details within the stitches. Working largely in a palette of green, the varied trees envelop the central architecture. Housed in a minimal brass frame with glass. The backing of this piece is also interesting, as it repurposes a fabric with floral embroidery and metal bullion. Unsigned.
Condition: Excellent antique condition with minimal wear. Light ground color variation. The silk embroidery is in excellent condition, colors remain vibrant and intact. Light frame surface finish variation.
