Vintage Royal Blue Nylon Austin, MN Hormel P-9 Strike Varsity Jacket, Circa 1985-86. Royal blue nylon body with marigold striped banding and embroidery. “Bertha” embroidered on the left chest and “P-9 Proud” on the left. “No Retreat No Surrender Local p-9 Austin, MN” boldly embroidered on the back. Enameled snap button front closure with two side pockets. Complete with insulated lining.

The jacket was created for one of Minnesota’s most contentious labor disputes championed by the unionized Hormel workers over wages and dangerous working conditons.
