Antique Ivory Silk Floral Embroidered Mantón de Manila Piano Shawl with Fishnet Fringe, Circa 1920s-30s. Large-scale square silk body featuring wonderful floral motifs of roses and various flowers embroidered throughout. Finished with a knotted, exaggerated fishnet fringe border. Unsigned.
Condition: Excellent antique condition, presents light signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Small area of light discoloration (approx. size of a quarter) near the borer and a small pinhole, both barely noticeable (as pictured). A few areas of loose threads within the floral embroidery application. Does not affect the stability of the embroidery or the piece as a whole. Fringe is varied in length.
