Vintage Barro Negro Bird + Floral Motif Pendant Necklace Attributed to Doña Rosa, Circa 1970s. Oaxacan black clay beads fired to lend a metallic sheen to the piece, creating depth within the relief work of each piece. The necklace alternates between miniature birds, fish, flattened cylindrical stems and diamond cut pieces strung along plastic string, terminating in a large floral relief pendant. Two orb beads complete the piece at the back of neck. Fits over the head, no closure. Unsigned. In the style of and sourced from an estate with a large collection of works by Oaxacan potter, Doña Rosa post 1950s.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No flaws to note.
