Rare Vintage Pastel Mexican "La Providencia" Sombrero, Circa 1950s. Woven body with greige painted surface. Silk and cotton cording brim details. The crown of the hat incorporates a mix of layered fabrics, silk and cotton cording and multicolored sequins. Each side of the crown’s base terminates in a silk cording knot / bow detail. The interior is lined in peach fabric with a leather sweatband and maker label. Includes bolo tie for fastening around the wearer’s neck or hanging on a wall. Made in Mexico.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition, light wear commensurate with age and use. Light paint surface cracking / wear barely visible.
